4/9: 490 words.

4/10: 875 words. Of those, 455 were spent in finishing a chapter of Forging Bonds. That leaves me with six left to write until the end of the first draft, and I’m just shy of 60,000. I’m feeling good about that, because for a good while, I thought the book was going to end up around 65,000 words, which was shorter than I wanted.

The other 420 words were devoted to the non-fiction writing project that I’m working on. Ideally, I would push this off until after I’ve finished Forging Bonds, but it’s been more than two years since I’ve really been motivated for and excited about a non-fiction project, so I’ve been letting this go a bit.

4/11: 1139 words. All of these words went to the non-fiction project. I just can’t help myself right now. I think it has the potential to be really helpful. The thing is, I really should be finishing a novel right now. In some ways, I think this is Resistance (and me giving in to it), despite my being really productive on the other project.
