3/3: 167 words. Every chapter needs conflict. Not that the stakes are life-and-death in every chapter, though tonally that may be true of the book as a whole. In this chapter, there’s going to be a lot of anger and inner turmoil, which is different from what’s been taking place in the rest of the book. So I’ll need to revisit my angsty teenage self and tap into the smoldering fire that was there for so long.
