3/14: 215 words. In the old days, when the starter on your car wasn’t working (but before it died entirely), you could take a wrench and tap on the side of it a few times and then it would start. That’s what today was like. Just banging on the keyboard a few times before my brain and fingers decided to collaborate. And then I was out of time.

3/15: 547 words. Today was better. The words flowed. I don’t know what the difference was.

I was looking ahead a few chapters this morning and realized I’ve got to change some of the structure and arrangement. It kind of feels like playing Jenga right now. Hopefully, I don’t tump the whole thing over.

(Note: Word processors don’t think tump is a word. Clearly not programed by Southerners).

Don't miss anything about projects I'm working on, new books you should be looking for, and articles about the craft and business of writing. I'll also give you the first three chapters of my novel, Vulcan Rising.
